Translation memory software: the IT contribution to human translation.
Translation memory software allows translators to avoid having to translate the same sentence or term several times thanks to a system for the identification of correspondence between two texts. This has two remarkable advantages:
- Translation memories guarantee the terminological and stylistic consistency of translations and substantially improve quality and productivity;
- The repetitions rate - calculated based on the translation memories built up over the years and from the accumulation of translations for customers - also makes it possible to reduce costs.
